OSNA – One Step Nucleic Acid Amplification – is an automated rapid molecular diagnostic test for the detection of lymph node (LN) metastases. It analyses the entire LN tissue using a reverse transcriptase loop-mediated isothermal amplification reaction (RT-LAMP*) to quantify tumour-specific cytokeratin 19 (CK19) mRNA expression in LNs.

The analyser to perform OSNA is a compact device, the RD-210. It is an easy to handle smooth process demanding few resources. Lymph node tissue from different patients or cancer types can be processed simultaneously, delivering results of up to 14 lymph nodes in a single run. If needed, it can provide quick results in an intraoperative setting.
